The Dollar Lake Fire that started Thursday afternoon in the Pinedale Ranger District of the Bridger-Teton National Forest doubled in size overnight, with the latest report showing a total of 1,388 total acres burned. The fast moving fire, burning in Sublette County, has forced the evacuation of the some of the area in the Green River Lakes region. There is currently not a cause listed on this fire as crew work to get ahead of the blaze, which shows 0% containment.
In Lincoln County, the Little Greys Fire burning six miles southeast of the McCain Guard Station in the Greys River Range, has grown to 39 acres as of Friday morning. The Bridger-Teton National Forest said firefighters have made progress, adding containment line around some of the edges of the fire. As of Thursday morning the latest information showed no containment report.
In the meantime, a new fire appears to have started south of Star Valley. The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office said the fire is burning up Fish Creek around Mt. Wagner. The Forest Service is currently responding. Additional details will be provided as they become available.
