Kemmerer ranked #2 in Wyoming’s top high schools

Kemmerer Jr/Sr High School was ranked #2 in the most recent listings of Wyoming high schools by U.S. News and World Report.

“This incredible achievement reflects the hard work, dedication, and excellence of our students, teachers, staff, and community,” noted a Facebook post from Lincoln County School District #1. “Your commitment to academic success and personal growth continues to inspire us all. Go Rangers! Let’s keep reaching new heights together!”

Topping the list for the magazine’s Wyoming rankings was Jackson Hole High School. Sheridan was third with Evanston and Burlington rounding out their top five. 

Methodology for the ranking was broken down by college readiness (30%), state assessment proficiency (20%), state assessment performance (20%), underserved student performance (10%), college curriculum breadth (10%) and graduation rate (10%). 

According to the current classification cycle from the Wyoming High School Activities Association (WHSAA), Kemmerer High School currently has an Average Dailey Membership (ADM) of 188 students.
