The Kemmerer Lady Rangers volleyball season came to an end over the weekend as they were eliminated from post-season play at the 2A West Regionals in Lander.
The team dropped their first match to Shoshoni in four sets, dropping them into the elimination bracket on Friday night. Kemmerer was able to extend their season with a 3-0 sweep of Wind River, a 2A Southwest foe they defeated twice during the regular season.
Facing Rocky Mountain in a match with the winner earning a state tournament berth and the loser going home, the Lady Rangers came up short in a 3-0 sweep. The Grizzlies were a motivated squad who then went on to claim the #3 seed in the tournament over Thermopolis.
The Lady Rangers finished the season with a record of (6-29) overall and (3-3) in the 2A Southwest.
Greybull, the top seed out of the 2A Northwest, swept their way to the regional championship with wins over Wind River, Shoshoni and Big Piney.
