• The Wyoming Community Foundation grants $1 million to nonprofits across the state.
The Wyoming Community Foundation (WYCF) recently wrapped up the year by awarding more than $1 million in grants to nonprofit organizations across Wyoming. These awards were made through WYCF’s fall grant cycle, which supports important projects, programs, and general operating needs that strengthen communities statewide.
Grants approved by the Wyoming Community Foundation Board of Directors help fill critical gaps in services and resources, ensuring nonprofits can continue meeting local needs in all corners of the state.
One notable request came from LaBarge, according to Cassandra Hunter, Associate Director of Programs at WYCF.
“We received a request from AHA Ministries, and they are truly delightful people doing meaningful work for older adults in their community,” Hunter said.
AHA Ministries is committed to improving the quality of life for seniors in rural Wyoming by helping them maintain safe and comfortable living conditions. Funding from WYCF will support essential initiatives such as home repairs, in-home care, and collaboration with local law enforcement to provide food, shelter, and hygiene products. Addressing these immediate needs helps build long-term resilience and ensures seniors and other vulnerable individuals feel valued and connected.
New board member, Lee Ann Stephenson of Encampment, was struck by the number of nonprofits focused on making life better in Wyoming.
“As a first-time board member, I was impressed by how many nonprofits across Wyoming are working to make life better for their neighbors,” Stephenson said. “Seeing the care and professionalism behind the grantmaking process also gave me confidence that donor generosity is being put to work where it matters most—supporting communities from the Big Horn Basin to the Laramie Valley and across the state.”
Since 1989, the Wyoming Community Foundation has connected people who care with causes that matter to build a better Wyoming. WYCF has awarded more than $120 million in grants to charitable causes while helping ensure communities have the resources they need to thrive. The next grant cycle is open for applications until March 16, 2026.
