Ranger Swimming hosts Holiday Invite

The Rangers swim team hosted the Holiday Invite with teams from the region in attendance. Those teams included Rock Springs, Lander, Lyman, Evanston and Sublette County. The Rangers finished fifth out of those seven teams. Evanston took the team title with 269 points, just edging Lander who finished with 256. Lyman was third with 208.

It was a strong meet for Bowman Sandall who won the Dive by a gap of over 70 points. He has reportedly broken his own school and pool 6-dive record with a score of 289.04 which is the highest total for the 6-dive in the 3A classification.  Sandall also placed second in the 100 Breaststroke and combined with KJ Walker, Brenden Lockwood and Jacob Platt to place fifth in the 200 Medley Relay.

Lockwood placed second in the 200 Individual Medley and fifth in the 200 Fly as well. Platt prequalified for the state meet in the 100 Freestyle.

Other placers included:
Jacob Platt took 12th in the 50 Free 
Callahan Ryerse took 6th in Diving. 
KJ Walker took 10th in the 100 Free
The 200 Free Relay of Walker, Platt, Sandall and Lockwood took 4th.
Jacob Platt took 12th in the 100 Backstroke. 
Charlie Lozier took 11th in the 100 Breaststroke.
The 400 Free Relay of Remington Shepherd, Charlie Lozier, Beau Cunningham, and Callahan Ryerse took 6th. 

The Rangers will be on the road on January 9-10 for their next outing at Jackson Hole High School. The next home meet will be on January 31 for the Kemmerer Invite.
