The non-conference portion of the basketball schedule is over for the 2025-26 campaign and the Kemmerer teams will start 2A West conference play this week as they will be on the road to face the Big Piney Punchers on Thursday. The girls varsity start time is 5:30 p.m. with the boys to follow at 7 p.m. Listen to all Kemmerer basketball games on The Spur in southwest Wyoming and on the SVI News app.

Both the boys and girls teams will be looking to restart the season with a 0-0 conference mark after compiling a losing record in non-conference. This past week, the Lady Rangers fell to the Pinedale Wranglers of the 3A classification by the score of 63-17. The girls then fell to the Star Valley sophomore team, 49-35. 

The Rangers had similar outcomes as they also fell to Pinedale with a final score of 75-60 and then lost to the Star Valley sophomores, 63-58. 

The Kemmerer teams will be back on the home court next week as they host Wind River on January 23 and Wyoming Indian on January 24.
