U.S. Representative Harriet Hageman will host Veterans Mobile Office Hours for Lincoln County residents on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The event will take place in Kemmerer, Wyoming, giving veterans, active-duty servicemembers, and military family members a direct opportunity to speak with Hageman’s staff about federal agency issues and concerns. In describing the purpose of “Congress in your community,” Hageman said, “What we do is my staff will travel around the state, come into your community, set up hours where you can come in. And if you’re having problems with any kind of federal agency, we try to help you to resolve those.”

Hageman explained that while her work includes voting, committee responsibilities, and legislation in Washington, D.C., constituent support in Wyoming is equally important. “Probably the big ones are the IRS, the VA, and the Social Security Administration,” she said during the interview. She added that the mobile hours are meant to help residents struggling with problems involving federal agencies, noting that “if you’re having problems with any kind of federal agency, we try to help you to resolve those.”

For veterans and military families, Hageman said the assistance can also be tailored to the kinds of challenges that may arise during benefits and administrative processes. She pointed out that “we’re setting up the specific meetings just for our veterans coming into that community.” She emphasized that staff includes someone “who is also a veteran and understands the issues very, very well.” She continued, “It may be a situation where they are not being reimbursed for certain expenses that they have incurred,” or it may involve “the disability rating that they have had,” she said.

Hageman also addressed how the office can help attendees through complex documentation during separation and transitions. “It may be that they are going through the separation process, and it becomes very challenging to understand how to fill out all the paperwork,” stated Hageman. She framed the effort as part of her role representing constituents, saying, “It is part of the services that we provide as your representative in the U.S. House of Representatives to make sure that we’re taking care of the constituents right there in Wyoming.”

Appointments are recommended, and residents can request time slots through information provided by Hageman’s office, including details on the congresswoman’s website. Those who prefer to schedule by phone may contact Lisa Scaling at 307-261-6595. Organizers said staff will confirm the appointment time and provide the meeting address during the scheduling process.
