A full Homecoming week will culminate with a chance to watch the Kemmerer Lady Rangers add to their first-place win/loss record followed by the Rangers football team coming off an open week.
The Lady Rangers put themselves in the drivers seat of the 2A Southwest last week with a comeback victory over Saratoga. Trailing two sets to zero, Kemmerer won the next three to pick up the victory and move to 2-0 in the district and handed Saratoga their first defeat in the quadrant.
The area spikers have a chance to add two more wins to their total this weekend. The first will be what should be an energy-filled gym at 5 p.m. on Friday as they host Wyoming Indian. This will be followed up by a match on Saturday against Fort Washakie at 1 p.m. Currently with 17 wins on the season coming into the weekend, the Lady Rangers have a chance to push near a 20-win season if they can defend the home court. Kemmerer will be back on the road next Thursday, October 15, at the Big Piney Punchers.

FOOTBALL
The Kemmerer Rangers football team will return to action this Friday and it’s no ordinary game as it will cap the week long Homecoming celebration for the school as they host the Pinedale Wranglers. The Rangers will be looking to snap a three-game losing skid after winning the season opener against Moorcroft and have had an extra week to prep for the game after a contest against the Evanston junior varsity for this past weekend was canceled.
It will be the second straight game for the Rangers and new coach Sidney Chaulk, that will have two first-year coaches on the sidelines after their meeting against Mountain View and coach Dustin Rees who replaced Brent Walk. The Wranglers new coach, Brandon Overdorff, replaced Jessie Lake and traded in his Lander green for the Pinedale shade this season. The Homecoming game against Pinedale is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
