The Kemmerer Rangers won their third 2A state championship in the last six years behind a deep group of 11 placers who helped the team to 204 total points. The Cokeville Panthers were second with 177.5 and Moorcroft was third with 164.

Kemmerer has made it a habit to be near the top of the 2A team standings for the past half-dozen seasons. This state title adds to the back-to-back championships the Rangers collected in 2022 and 2023. The team finished as the 2A runner-up in 2021, 2024 and 2025.

Individually, Abel Jimenez won the state championship at 132 pounds to lead the way. Jimenez received a bye in the opening round and then went on to win by a fall in the quarterfinals, a 16-2 major decision in the semifinals and a 12-0 major decision shutout for the championship. He defeated Landon Norman of Upton for the championship.
