Kaylie Julander has added another honor to an already decorated high school wrestling career.
Julander, a three-time state champion for the Kemmerer Lady Rangers, has been named Wyoming’s recipient of the Tricia Saunders Award from the National Wrestling Hall of Fame. The honor recognizes the state’s top female high school wrestler for excellence on the mat, in the classroom and in the community.
The award, named after trailblazing women’s wrestling pioneer Tricia Saunders, is presented annually in each state, with one honoree selected to represent Wyoming. Julander’s selection highlights her dominance in girls wrestling and her impact within the sport.
Julander captured three consecutive state titles during her career with Kemmerer, showcasing a combination of technical skill, strength and consistency that set her apart from her peers. Her success has helped elevate the profile of the Lady Rangers program and contributed to the continued growth of girls wrestling in the state.
Beyond her achievements on the mat, Julander has also been recognized for her leadership and sportsmanship, qualities that are central to the Tricia Saunders Award criteria.
Julander’s recognition as Wyoming’s recipient places her among the top high school wrestlers in the state and adds to a resume that already ranks among the best in Kemmerer history.
