Day 2 of the Wyoming State Track and Field Championships are in the books with just one final day of competition left in the 2025-26 school year. For the Kemmerer girls and boys track teams they were able to add to their point totals heading into the weekend.
After the second day of action, the Lady Rangers sat at 26 points which placed them eighth overall in the 2A standings. Big Horn has a huge lead heading into the final day with 83 points, nearly double that of second-place Sundance and their total of 45.
Individually it was a terrific day for the Kemmerer relay teams and the pole vaulters. The group of Kalyn Lockwood, Charlie Boylen, Cambree Tolhurst and Hadlee Wood placed sixth in the 4×100 meter relay while the group of Payton Scherr, Rylee Krell, Tolhurst and Riley Meyer also placed sixth in the 4×800 meter relay.

A pair of freshmen placed fifth and sixth as Rylee Krell and Demi Thatcher as well. Finally, Hanna Walker tacked on another point in the shot put with a distance of 31’ 2.25”.
