The final day of the athletic season was a very memorable one for Cokeville senior Addison Barnes who won all four of her events and set two new 1A Class records in the process. Barnes was the favorite in the 200 and 400 meter as well as the 100 and 300 hurdles and she handily won all four. In the 400 meter, she broke her own class record with a time of 58.22. She also set a new standard in the 300 hurdles with a time of 44.79

It was a big Saturday for the Lady Panthers who jumped up from 39 points to 121 but it wasn’t quite enough to overtake Southeast who won the 1A girls tile with 144 points. Saratoga rounded out the top three with 81 points.

In addition to Barnes’ display, Mia Dayton earned All-State with a second place finish in the 400 and Geneva Murdock did the same in the 1600 meter run.

On the boys side, the Panthers placed fifth overall with a total of 57 points. Saratoga won the 1A boys title with 134.5 points followed by Burlington’s total of 127. Little Snake River edged Niobrara County by just a half-point for third with 75 to place third.

Joey Thomas enjoyed a fine weekend capped by a third place finish in the 1600. Nephi Cook and Ammon Hatch both scored in the pair of hurdling events and Heber Dayton and Cooper Bird both added points in the pole vault.
