• Team will see 2A’s best this weekend at the Big Horn Invite –
The Kemmerer Lady Rangers volleyball team competed at the Evanston Border Wars this past weekend where they saw teams from Wyoming and Utah. On Friday, they picked up a win against Manila (UT) in a three-set battle to start things off. They were swept by 3A Pinedale and 1A Cokeville before battling 4A Jackson Hole to a three-set tiebreaker loss.
On Saturday, the team went up against the Powell Panthers where they fell in two sets. The Rangers then faced Juan Diego High School based out of Draper, Utah where they once again came up just short in a three-match tiebreaker situation. They closed out the tournament by losing in a sweep to Lyman.
This week the Lady Rangers will be at the Big Horn 2A Invitational. They will face the top four teams in the classification over the two days according to the wyopreps.com Coaches and Media Poll. Kemmerer will face #4 Pine Buffs at 9 a.m. on Friday morning to start the weekend. They will then play Moorcroft at 12 noon, followed up by a match against #2 Tongue River at 1:30 p.m.
On Saturday, the Kemmerer spikers will fact #1 Big Horn to open the day, followed by #3 Sundance. Their final match will be against Wright.
The conference schedule has not yet begun as the Rangers (1-11) prep for matches that will count toward the post-season later this month.
